The First Week of School at Integrated Islamic School Shah Alam will take place from 12th until 16th January 2026, marking a meaningful beginning for our students as they step into a new academic year.
This week is not merely about returning to classrooms—it is a time for students to pause, reflect, and reset their intentions. They are guided to understand that coming to school is not only to gain knowledge, but to grow in character, discipline, and faith.
Throughout the week, carefully planned activities will nurture the hearts and minds of students, helping them build a strong foundation for the year ahead.
Students will be introduced to the IISSA core values (RASUL), which serve as guiding principles in shaping righteous character and responsible behaviour. Through reflection and discussion, students are reminded that values are not just words, but actions to be lived every day.
The adab of seeking knowledge will be emphasised, reminding students that knowledge becomes meaningful when it is sought with sincerity, humility, and respect. Students will also learn proper classroom rules and adab with teachers and friends, fostering an environment filled with respect, kindness, and cooperation.
In line with Islamic teachings, students will be guided on the importance of cleanliness and responsibility through the implementation of duty rosters. They will also be reminded to take care of school belongings, nurturing a sense of amanah and gratitude for the facilities entrusted to them.
Key lessons to be carried throughout the year will be shared, encouraging students to remain consistent, disciplined, and mindful of their purpose in every aspect of school life.
To complete the week, students will experience a demonstration of extra-curricular activities, opening their hearts to discover new interests, talents, and opportunities beyond the classroom.
This first week sets the spiritual and moral compass for the year—planting seeds of intention, responsibility, and excellence. With renewed purpose and strong values, our students are ready to walk a meaningful journey of learning at Integrated Islamic School Shah Alam.
